William and Kate this afternoon attended the christening of his eldest son, Prince George Alexander Louis. The ceremony, family and intimate, has had seven godparents, all friends and relatives of the couple.
The ceremony lasted about 45 minutes and has been familiar at the express wish of the parents (60 guests have attended). Seven people have been chosen to serve as godparents of the little George, including the couple's friends, college buddies and family as Zara Phillips, cousin of William.
Prince George has led the actual replica christening skirt, handmade by Angela Kelly, valet Queen Elizabeth. The original trim white batiste, was made in 1841 for the baptism of the eldest daughter of Queen Victoria, and has been used in the baptisms of all children of the British Royal Family in the past hundred years, including his father Prince William.
