SJP Shoe Collection
I have been closely tracking the development of Sarah Jessica Parker’s first shoe collection, and now, thanks to Glamour, it’s finally starting to come together. The magazine has a preview of the line in its February issue, and it seems to have something for everyone: lace-up booties, strappy sandals with a flower appliqué, ballet flats and, of course, sexy t-strap pumps — aptly named “The Carrie” — that Carrie Bradshaw would have swooned over.
Throughout her years playing Bradshaw on Sex and the City, Parker was able to live out every shoe fanatic’s fantasy—with hundreds of pairs of Manolos, Jimmy Choos and Christian Louboutins at her disposal—so it’s not shocking that the beloved character played muse in her collection. “I’m privileged that I played her,” Parker told the magazine. “I was exposed to so many beautiful shoes and to how they’re made. That role really cemented my love.”
